Newsletter: "We do not want you to be uninformed about the hardships some are suffering in the province of Asia"
For those of us who live in the comfort of the UK, we find ourselves a bit disconnected from the persecution of Christians around the world who are suffering for their faith. But we know, as we read our Bibles, that suffering is often part of the Christian life. For hundreds of years men and women have risked their lives in the firm belief that spreading the gospel is both a calling and a command……………...
Newsletter: The Satisfied Smile of the Sena! June 26
On the one hand, the "Sinai for Sena" project has now reached its conclusion; the mountain was climbed, funds were raised, Bibles were bought and delivered, with 3000 distributed so far. As significant as this is for the Romani people, something even more significant is due to happen in Serbia on that day for three Roma language groups; the dedication of their newly translated New Testaments!
Newsletter: Reaching to Read & Powerful Prefacing!
One of my favourite photos from last year's collection was one that I took whilst at the launch of the Lambya Bible in Malawi. It’s a photo I often use when visiting churches. Across the top of the photo I quote from Psalm 119:48, which says: “I reach out for your commands, which I love, that I may meditate on your decrees”. I then ask people to look at the faces of those who are eagerly reaching out for a copy of God’s Word………...
Newsletter: Notable Numbers & the Marvellous Match!
The New Year is a chance to look forward, but also a chance to look back to assess what we've been doing in previous years. This issue is therefore all about numbers…… whilst also recognising that it’s not all about numbers! Because, hiding behind every number, there are real precious lives that have been changed and influenced by the Word of God………………….
